I grew up on my grandparent’s coffee farm in Honaunau and worked in every aspect of coffee. My cheerleaders on the farm were my pets. I had a golden retriever and an Irish Setter along with feral cats and dogs that came by the coffee shack.
I’ve attended the Bel-Rea Institute of Animal Technology in Aurora, Colorado, and worked for Betsy Webb, DVM, at Kona Veterinary Service as a Veterinarian Technician. Also, I attended Renton Technical College in Renton, Washington, and worked for Pacific Vascular, which is located in every major medical center in Washington State, as a Medical Transcriptionist. I’ve enrolled at Green River Community College, Renton, Washington, in Small Business Development. Thereafter, I started Island Girl Coffee ranging from farming to cup, and won an award for my label. I was fortunate to have gained experience as a Kona Coffee Specialist and serviced Kuki’o and Yellowstone Club, elite residentially owned resorts.
In 2013, I worked at Clark Realty Property Management and won Best of the West Property Management Company 2 years in a row. I’ve decided to give general sales a try in 2015. Learning never ends in real estate and I find it to be fun and exciting.
In my spare time, I love paddling (winning 2nd place for OC-2 in Queen Liliuokalani Race), hiking, playing tennis, camping, and volunteering at Ke Ola Kai (Hawaii’s only monk seal rehabilitation facility).
I would say that I’ve achieved the goals in life that I set out for myself. Life is a journey, it comes with smooth and bumpy roads, and, at times, very scary cliffhangers; yet, every journey is worth trying.
